I've worked as an Owner's project manager for most of my career. At Ohio State my projects ranged from renovations of auditoriums, and individual research labs, to mixed use parking structures, major research and teaching labs, to the Ross Heart Hospital. There was even a slaughterhouse thrown into the mix for variety. To me a project is more than just the building, it's the spaces that encourage the exchange of ideas and foster a sense of community. A building is more than a precious jewel sitting on a pristine site. It is part of the fabric of a community and the spaces in between are as important as the building itself. The best part of the job has been having the occupants walk into their new building, take a deep breath and say, "Yes, this is exactly how I was hoping it would feel."Specialties: Project administration, construction administration, construction management.
