In January, 2013, I became the Sr. Vice President of Principal Gifts. In this role, I manage the stewardship, cultivation, and solicitation of approximately 150 donors. Working closely with donors, I identify their specific interests that will engage them in the Federation campaign. Acting as their philanthropic guide, I help them find volunteer opportunities that will give them a more fulfilling philanthropic experience. I personally solicit 5-7 figure gifts. Working with colleagues in a team environment, we collaborate, share information to give the donor (and in some cases their spouse and family) extraordinary giving, volunteer and travel experiences framed in Jewish values. I am also a member of the Sr. Management Team.In my most recent past position as Sr. Vice President of Major Gifts, I managed the $30million campaign with over 1000 donors. My responsibilities included solicitation, cultivation, and supervision of 5 staff. I directly solicited five and six figure gifts. Working closely with the senior staff, I identified and strategized the cultivation and solicitation of donors. Working directly with top lay leadership, I also reviewed their donor assignments, identified new prospects and strategized solicitations. As lead staff for the Major Gift events including the Centennial Gala with over 500 people, I supervised staff, manage the team, and recruit donors. For event management, I created and developed fundraising and educational events for our Hineni Society members and our King David Society members. In my position, I also served as a member of the Senior Management Team. I partner with JFNA for general prospecting and national placement as well as recruitment for Jewish Leadership Forum. I was lead staff for the Women in Entertainment Mission, Major Gifts Mission to the Baltics and Israel and have been the co-staff on other missions.

As Director of Development, I managed all the fundraising efforts. Traditional strategies included direct soliciation, an Annual Gala, synagogue membership dues and endowment gifts. Non-traditional fundraising efforts included their Thrift Store operation and other new business models including the creation of a jewelry line.

As Executive Director, my responsibilities were management of the campaign, budget and supervision of staff. Worked closely with the fundraisers at the Jewish Home for the Aging to partner in successful donor cultivation and solicitation. Created and implemented 65th Anniversary Campaign and Gala.

As the Real Estate and Construction Division Director, I managed the largest and most active trade division of The Jewish Federation. Responsibilties for this position included direct solicitation, strong lay leader partnership, creation and implementation of annual dinner for over 1000 guests. In February, 2000, I was promoted to Major Gifts Associate. Major responsibiliities included straight donor relations management. In this position, I was the lead staff for the largest Jews In Crisis event featuring Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. In a 24 hour period, we hosted the Prime Minister for a Hineni Society Dinner, Entertainment Division breakfast, King David Society meeting, and the largest community event with over 2000 guests.

As Planned Giving Manager, I implemented direct mail campaigns and worked with lawyers and estate planners to facilitate bequests. As Young Leadership Manager, I cultivated and solicited donors under 40, securing the organization's first $25,000 gift from a young leader. In this position, I worked closely with my peers in other Los Angeles Jewish organizations to develop a network and forum for donors to find their top Jewish interests.
