All volunteer recreational soccer program serving youth from city of Dayton. Serve as treasurer and sponsorship chairs.

Manages and provides oversight for the planning and operation of assigned FRMP assigned business including Ice Skating Rink, Food Concessions, Bike Rental business. Manages service agreements; tracks and meets cost recovery targets and provides excellent customer service. Serves as product manager for assigned FRMP business enterprises including evaluation, analysis, product decisions, product communications, pricing, goal setting, projections, research and data compilation. Manages and supports business planning and leads teams with the development of new FRMP businesses (camping, shelter rentals, etc.), Negotiates, creates and manages written legal agreements and memorandums of understanding for contractors, concessionaires and program partners as related to assigned businesses. Develops RFP's and RFQ's and implements process for selection of service providers. Identifies business goals and provides input to Marketing Department for development of marketing campaigns for the organization's businesses. Functionally supervises staff that implements and coordinates aspects of the collaborative efforts including proofing, editing and outlining content to be included in brochures and print advertising, social media marketing, and electronic newsletters, and other marketing initiatives. Works cooperatively with the Development Department on sponsorship and grants for the organizations businesses. Develops sponsorship packages and servicing sponsors; writes and implements grants.

Develops and administers a wide range of recreational and entertainment programs for the general public at RiverScape and Island MetroParks with combined annual attendance of over 500,000 including collaboration with various community organizations and development and maintenance of sponsor relationships. Manages and provides oversight for all aspects of the PNC Street Market with annual attendance of over 200,000 utilizing a cost recovery model. Manages the day-to-day operations of the Urban Events Department including managing a staff of 8 employees and 10 temporary employees, managing two business operations, a winter outdoor ice rink and a summer pedal boat rental, and a subcontractor with 6 employees. Assists with the development and implementation of a comprehensive marketing strategy for RiverScape and Island MetroPark and the PNC Second Street Market. Manages the formulation and implementation of budgets in excess of 1 million dollars and development of strategic plans for the department.

Developed and implemented community gardening activities that utilized a community organizing model that increased the community’s capacity to tackle other neighborhood issues, increase neighborhood pride, provide access to fresh produce and increased the development of new community leaders. Gardens were designed to be both functional and beautiful and were managed and maintained by the community groups that operated and owned them. Responsible for managing all aspects of the program including providing leadership to a two advisory committees of key community stakeholders and fundraising for new project and program development. Developed Urban Youth Gardening Collaborative with Ohio State University and the University of Dayton’s SWEAT AmeriCorps program serving at risk inner-city youth at 8 community gardening sites and received various national and local awards during my tenure.

Served as member of advisory board to City of Dayton on issues related to the environment with empahsis on source water protection area/program. Served on various committes during tenure.

National non-profit organization supporting community gardening nationally and internationally. Vice President of Non-Profit Association (1998-99) and Chair of Membership Committee (1993-1999).

Provide consulting services to the Leila Arboretum Society’s Battle Creek Green Program with program planning and development including but not limited to: board development, educational outreach and community involvement for this new community gardening and greening program.
