I am a director and co-owner of Kelvin TOP-SET. I am a business –woman, but, essentially, I am a teacher, and one of long experience. I am also a coach and have been since 1995. Previously, I taught in private and public schools running English departments, and I lectured in Communications at Napier University in Edinburgh. I transferred totally into business in 1998 running the business and a coaching practice concurrently.My foremost role in our business is to translate and demystify complexity, to make explanations jargon free and theory accessible. Our effort is to make difficult and often abstract notions comprehensible, and to create tools from that clarity, which are usable and helpful in the field. That is what teaching is, and my pleasure is always to create confidence from competence and to make ideas understandable, usable and so productive.To that end, I teach, whether individuals in our own business, or people from the bottom to the top of industry, across many sectors, and from the professions. I think, discuss, write and evolve the TOP-SET system, and suite of products, collaboratively, with a team of expert educators. This allows proper piloting of content, and assessment. Our tutors are rigorously trained and audited. TOP-SET teaching is consistent. Our aim thereby, is to achieve success for ourselves, and so for our clients, through clarity, excellence and integrity.

  I co-own, The Kelvin Consultants Ltd and Kelvin TOP-SET. This year we have been a global business for 30 years. We have a proprietary system for problem solving and investigating failure of any kind. In reality we are mostly employed by high hazard industries in all sectors and work with a team of highly qualified tutors to teach companies, globally, how to investigate incidents. The system is constantly evolving and our experienced developers aim to maintain high standards of excellence and consistency in order to enable and enhance the ability of practitioners in many languages and cultures.The TOP-SET methodology can be effectively used for minor incidents as well as the most major occurrences and failures. It is supported by the TOP-SET eRCA e-learning programme which acts as consolidation and for reference.
