I am a marketing consultant and trainer, focusing primarily on digital and social media marketing. I specialise in helping small and medium-sized companies set up and run effective digital marketing strategies.My consultancy work includes social media management, copywriting, content generation, web development and all aspects of online marketing including SEO, Google Analytics, setting up and running WordPress sites, and running paid advertising campaigns in Google Adwords, Facebook and LinkedIn. Alongside my consultancy work, I also train small businesses in digital and social media marketing, focusing on copywriting, web development and marketing analytics, and I led the development of Regent's University's MSc Digital Marketing & Analytics. My PhD research examined the use of Twitter in political campaigns, using SPSS Modeler to build predictive models of retweeting.

This involved designing the module content and assessment, preparing all the materials, delivering large room lectures (to 300+ students), managing a team of around 10 seminar tutors, co-ordinating marking and moderation and liaising with external examiners. In 2009 I was awarded a University Fellowship for excellence in teaching and learning for my innovative and effective teaching on this module. The award was made on the basis of feedback from both students and colleagues. In a student module survey 100% of respondents agreed or strongly agreed that the lectures gave them a clear understanding of the subject, 100% agreed or strongly agreed (74% strongly agreed) that the topics were presented in a lively and stimulating way and 97% agreed or strongly agreed that they enjoyed the module and the same percentage would recommend it to others. -
