I taught a variety of marketing-related subjects to both undergraduates and postgraduates. These include social media marketing, web development, copywriting, CRM and principles of marketing. I've also supervised a large number of student dissertations on marketing and strategy topics. I was actively involved in staff development, co-founding Tricks of the Trade - a series of weekly sessions aimed at helping academics make better use of technology in their teaching, and I ran copywriting and report writing training sessions for staff.I led the development of Regent's University's innovative new MSc in Digital Marketing and Analytics, blending my professional and academic experience to create a new degree programme.

Supervision of MSc Marketing Management student dissertations.

I was module leader of Principles of Marketing, a so-called "mega module" with 600+ students per semester. This involved designing the module content and assessment, preparing all the materials, delivering large room lectures (to 300+ students), managing a team of around 10 seminar tutors, co-ordinating marking and moderation and liaising with external examiners. In 2009 I was awarded a University Fellowship for excellence in teaching and learning for my innovative and effective teaching on this module. The award was made on the basis of feedback from both students and colleagues. In a student module survey 100% of respondents agreed or strongly agreed that the lectures gave them a clear understanding of the subject, 100% agreed or strongly agreed (74% strongly agreed) that the topics were presented in a lively and stimulating way and 97% agreed or strongly agreed that they enjoyed the module and the same percentage would recommend it to others.
