Responsible for planning, designing, tendering and contract administration of multi-disciplinary buildinginfrastructure Capital projects. - Responsible for supervising and delivering all human, fixed and other resources for recreation programs, services and day-to-day facility operations within a community recreation facility(s) and within a geographical area. - Develops, integrates, administers policies and procedures, oversees and assists with the development of standard operating procedures and recommends service level standards. - Responds to inquiries from the public, user groups, service providers and internal stakeholders. - Oversees the day-to-day operations including cleaning, maintenance and minor repairs of facilities and coordinates with Facility Services staff for capital projects and major repairs. - Supervising program, aquatic, fitness, administration and facility staff including training, evaluation, scheduling and recruitment.- Preparing reports and statistics, monitoring community leisure trends, and preparing and monitoring and maintaining operating budgets. - Developing revenue generating opportunities and working with service partners and providers to support the delivery of program services.

Summary: Lead the operational aspects of the program, including ensuring the program meets all curriculum standards and reporting requirements, mentoring, academic advising and recruitment.Duties Include: • Acts as a resource person and academic advisor to Recreation and Leisure students.• Provides course materials, schedule of training, important dates and requirements to students.• Guides students throughout PLAR/equivalencies progress, assisting with data collection and processing of paperwork.• Leads the CPQR program evaluation process, collaborating with faculty team to analyze and evaluate program and provide recommendations• Acts as a resource person to faculty, orients new faculty, leads faculty meetings, counsels instructors on college policies• Recruits and recommends hiring of part-time faculty• Responds to inquiries, recruits and provides orientation to potential students• Maintain proper records and documentation of course/programs.• Effectively manages resources and supplies used in the course/programs (including scheduling).• Develop and implement techniques for marketing the programs and courses to the community including maintaining the program presence on the Centennial College web site.• Represents the programs and courses at Education Fairs and professional seminars and workshops.• Corresponds with students inquiring about the program• Maintains calendar for courses and field placement schedule.• Ensures curriculum consistency and standards are being met.
