Civil Structural global data manager collaboratively develops an engineering data standard to ensure all projects in Fluor create and communicate consistent data to our consumers. The concepts of Big Data and Digital Twin need to be followed to ensure the digital object represents the physical object in all aspects.

Engineering and design experience involves oil refineries, SAGD, petro chemical plants, oil sands, gold, uranium and potash mines, crusher buildings, water treatment facilities, copper smelters, natural gas pipelines, compressor stations, and LNG plants.Specialized area of expertise is the execution of 3D design using Hexagon Smart3D towards the development of automated design solutions and training. Currently have over 30 years of CSA experience of which 20 years include technical hands on experience in Structural design along with Civil and Architectural design using Smart3D and PDS.Other roles included global CSA Smart3D Configuration Lead for NextGen Execution Project for 6 years. Which involved designing workflows, software development, training, and global implementation.Most recent Fluor developed initiative is the Smart Model Transfer (SMT) for the intelligent transfer of structural steel models to steel detailers with no drawings. For Structural engineering and design it significantly reduces majority of structural framing drawings by transferring all of the needed information via the model. Replacing the number of deliverables with data; reduces schedules, effort hours, and review times. Steel Model Transfer is part of the SMT family which opens doors to new automation solutions to leverage data centric execution.Other significant assignments: Fluor's 3rd Gen Modular Execution process for 8 years on multiple projects which includes the Shell Quest Carbon Capture Facility Project that is now a benchmark of 3rd Gen Modular projects. Most recent active assignment is the LNGC project in Canada which involved the setup of the global Smart3D setup to support SMT with multiple Fluor offices, sub-contractors, and steel fabricators.Currently assigned the role of Global Data Manager for Civil Structural at Fluor to develop data standardization for all our consumers internally and externally. Just another step towards big data solution for engineering.

Design of over twenty 15,000 hp and up compressor stations and control building projects. Part of the Standard Designs Team to develop new standard engineering platforms in regards to work processes, documentation and responsible to build standard PDS models and drawings for future capital projects. My responsibility was civil and structural model and drawing production using PDS, ModelDraft, FrameWorks Plus and InRoads applications. Also required to maintain and setup discipline specific PDS and CADD requirements for compression design.

Worked on heavy industrial mining, oil upgraders and water treatment projects. Primary responsibility: civil / structural model and drawing production using 3D MicroStation and in-house developed 3D rebar modeling package.
