As Head of Compliance at Dr-Julian my key responsibilities centre around ensuring that the company achieves and maintains the required infosec/quality and health related certifications and accreditations that working in a digital health tech environment demands.As part of my role, I am also the key ‘go to’ for data security and data management activities. Additional responsibilities include supporting the business, as a whole, in regard to process improvements to help maximize efficiency. As Head of Compliance I am pleased to support the achievement and maintenance of recognised certifications including (UKAS accredited) ISO 9001, ISO 27001, DTAC, DCB 0129, NHS frameworks and GCloud.I am also the ICO registered DPO for the organisation and am therefore responsible for the management of data security on a day to day basis.Ensuring staff are up to date with data protection and information security requirements and best practice is key; and I support this requirement through the design, development and rollout of relevant training initiatives including, but not restricted to, our UKAS certified ISO9001/27001 integrated management system, data security and data protection including GDPR and any other compliance requirements.

Dr Julian is a mental healthcare platform that aims to increase accessibility of mental healthcare provision and improve the patient, therapist and admin experience. We connect patients to vetted, online trained clinical psychologists, CBT therapists and counsellors via our secure video/ audio/ messaging platform from your phone/ tablet/computer. The platform allows you to choose the therapist you want to see, at a time convenient to you, wherever you are in the world. The platform operates 24 hours a day and can match you to the right therapist for you but with the user choosing who they want to see, when they want to see them and where they want to see them. The platform offers a range of self help and homework resources which can be tailored on an individual’s personalised dashboard that can be completed in the app.We work across the country supporting the NHS, occupational health, charities, EAP, insurance and corporate companies providing mental health care services. As well as providing our own therapy service provision we now license our revolutionary online therapy platform technology with our electronic health record that integrates a patient side and digitises admin tasks to enhance efficiency to other service providers.

Following successful certification to both ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 27001 (Information Security), the focus of my role has changed to overseeing the ongoing maintenance of our management system including the provision of support to external audits. Additional responsibilities include supporting the business, as a whole, in regard to process improvements to help maximize efficiency.

My key responsibilities in this role included supporting the creation / development of the company's management system to ensure compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001 (Quality) and ISO 27001 (Information Security) including the management of the ISO Project Plan, in conjunction with the Quality & Compliance Lead.

Part of the Amtivo group, Equas is a management consultancy that specialises in helping businesses improve their management systems, thereby enabling them to become more efficient and achieve more of their strategic objectives. The simple and highly cost-effective methodologies have enabled over 1000 organisations to achieve ISO and other internationally-recognised standards and to gain all the benefits that these standards were designed for. My role within Equas focused on supporting the delivery of consultancy sales, including overseeing and managing the on-boarding process for new customers. This was delivered through building ongoing customer relationships and providing administrative excellence, backed by a commitment to delivering great customer service.

In summary, this role within Willow was to manage the performance of services to our key clients and ensure that service levels were achieved. This included responsibility for online courses and the revision of existing online qualifications. This role centred around aiming to ensure that quality and client expectations were met or exceeded, effectively monitoring, controlling and supporting service delivery including the management of qualification revision budgets and the planning and overseeing of regular online examinations.One of the key areas that I found most rewarding within this role was the need to build and maintain good client relationships through regular verbal, email and face to face contact.

I worked with our instructional designers to deliver the learning resources needed to deliver great learning paths. This meant getting to grips with the learning story – making sure each of the pieces fitted together to create an effective and coherent learning experience. It was about building up the topic through each interaction and making every piece of material engaging and interactive.I enjoyed the challenge of taking a learning content script and translating it into a story that was both interesting and engaging for the learner, whilst also meeting the learning objectives of the client. Having previous experience in a classroom based training design, development and delivery environment I truly value how important it is to create a feeling of involvement and interaction for the learners, within the online learning field.

After initially joining Zurich as a sales and business development trainer I moved on to work within the Corporate Organisation Development team. Here, I was responsible for the design, development and delivery of a variety of classroom training events which supported the company's change management programme. Working with a support team, from within the business, these training events enabled staff to have the skills to make a real difference to how the business was run.

My role within this high net worth investment field centred around business development. I acted as a liaison and support for the branch network, covering a specific geographical area, in respect of the identification, development and introduction of HNW leads and their progress against specific business targets. My role also involved the writing and delivery of specific product knowledge training, as needed.
