My objective is to enhance community and economic development through affordable housing, workforce, business and culturally-responsive community based programs for Native American and low income communities in North Dakota. Driven to provide a systematic structure through infrastructure, culturally responsive education and support services . A diverse set of knowledge gained from working in various industries, i.e., nonprofits, community development finance, affordable housing development, tribal higher education, and Indian Health Service. A macro-perspective that comes from a lived experience and over 16 years of serving Native populations and communities coming from the reservations into urban areas. Developers a multi-faceted approach towards addressing unemployment, homelessness and high mobility in North Dakota’s economy and the populations needs for advancement in income, economic sustainability, credit wealth and cultural identity.Developing skills in community planning, program development, impact data tracking. fundraising, grant writing, and strategic planning. Experienced in non-profit development, financial and grants management, business planning, budgeting, financial reporting, operations, MOU and contract negotiations, research, public policy, advocacy, capacity building, coalition building, board development, governance, public speaking, public relations, housing and community development finance, low income housing tax credits and property management.My diverse set of personal and professional experiences has increased my ability to envision success within individuals and communities. To make this happen it’s taken 11 years of working with local and state government, community stakeholders and tribal nations. I am dedicated in providing visionary and innovative leadership to clients and communities I serve. I have an intense passion in helping individuals and communities achieve their goals and objectives for maximized success.
