I am a confident and motivational manager who has worked in the field of domestic abuse prevention for more than 20 years. Qualified both as an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) and to work with perpetrators of domestic abuse (group work and one-to-one) I am uniquely able to provide a broad area of focus. I have experience in recruiting and managing teams of Independent Domestic Violence and Sexual Violence Advisors, facilitators, administration and contract staff as well as developing outreach support services alongside local authorities, health, police and education services. I am a frequent MARAC agency lead and have chaired MARAC meetings. I train professionals in domestic abuse awareness, MARAC, risk assessments and engaging with perpetrators. I am adept at managing risk and have strong crisis management skills. I lead a team of 18 qualified staff and trainees and ensure a service of the highest quality is maintained in order to meet the standards of SafeLives, Respect and Lime Culture. I have managed a budget of over £150,000 and in May 2022 was awarded a Thames Valley Police Commendation for services to Victims of Domestic Abuse.
