Managing Director, Technical Activities

Serving 15,000 members from all industries, the global association is a proactive advocate, working with regulators and legislators on behalf of the membership.As Managing Director, of Technical Activities, primarily responsible for technical accounting research on behalf of FEI and members of several of its national committees (Committee on Corporate Reporting - CCR, Committee on Private Company Standards - CPC-S, Financial Accounting and Reporting Roundtable -FARR, etc.). Day to day advocacy related efforts on technical accounting, public policy and the current regulatory environment. Plan and attend quarterly meetings and conferences with FEI member corporations and interactions with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB), the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) and U.S. offices of the Big 4 accounting firms . Monitor progress, summarize key points on rulemaking/standard setting as it relates to accounting and financial reporting and lead comment letter writing in response to rulemaking proposals from regulators.
