As a Mass Spectrometry Technician at Waters Corporation, I contribute to the production and quality control of mass spectrometers, a key instrument for bioanalytical research and testing. I perform tasks such as assembling, calibrating, testing, and troubleshooting mass spectrometers, ensuring that they meet the specifications and standards of the company and the customers. I also document and report the results, issues, and solutions, and collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and managers to optimize the manufacturing process and improve the product performance and reliability.I have a Bachelor of Science Honours in Bioanalytical Science from the Institute of Technology, Tallaght, where I developed strong laboratory skills and knowledge in molecular biology, genetics, and biochemistry. For my thesis, I used polymerase chain reaction (PCR) to determine the Rhesus factor of individuals, and wrote technical reports on the experimental design and my findings. Through my education and work experience, I have gained excellent communication, teamwork, planning, and organizational skills, as well as a passion for science and innovation. I am motivated to use my skills and expertise to enhance the scientific community and the quality of life of people.
