About Lorraine Pierce

I was born into a family of business owners and entrepreneurs. Both grandfathers ran multi million dollar companies that they started from scratch, without even finishing high school. So, I'd say it's in my blood to own and run my own business. I started L.A. Minerals in 2007, after realizing a lot of mineral makeup contained bismuth oxychloride, which makes many people itch and break out in acne. So, with my background in Cosmetology and Art I decided to learn all I could from Chemists and tech people from various suppliers and create my own line of mineral makeup. After a year of experiments, testing, trials and tribulations, I came up with 3 very distinct and wonderful foundations; Valley Girl for oily/acneic skin, Hollywood for normal skin, and NoHoGlo for normal skin. All have different ingredients and sheens. All are wonderful and top sellers in our line. Of course we also sell mineral eyeshadow, concealer, blush, etc...but I knew that women search for a good foundation, and once they find it, they will be your customer for life!
