Plan and implement an innovative marketing strategy for identifying a diverse group of potential employers. Provide employer outreach for development of student professional experience and full-time opportunities. Analyze and interpret job placement, salary offerings, industry trends, and prepare data and commentary for external requests. Attend career fairs, business expos, conferences and seminars to learn current and emerging trends in career education. Attend community, statewide, and regional networking events, present career service knowledge and techniqueis in classroms and academic in-services. Served as a Financial Aid Officer to ensure a positive cash flow into student accounts. Met with new enrollments and parents to process the federal application for financial aid. Provided a tuition planning worksheet outlining the estimated funding available for the program.

Medford, Oregon Area

Held two positions (AFS trainer and Court Advocate) with this non-profit agency, both of which required: strong written and verbal communication skills, an ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, prioritize my own workload, create, organize and facilitate training modules for Law enforcement, Judicial personnel, Probation/Parole officers, Adult and Family Case Workers, Child Support Workers, Staff, and various other social service providers. The team was responsible for assisting in the coordination, design and implementation of client services. Attended weekly educational trainings, served as a liaison between my employer and the community.Collected and compiled quarterly statistics and assisted with budget development. Co-created new policy and procedures for the outreach team participated in the hiring process of new team members and sat on several task force teams and local committees. Created curriculum and conducted two weekly educational classes for clients. Co-created and conducted two weekly classes for community partners (Dept of Corrections and Dept of Workforce Services), one of these classes was taught in jail for individuals arrested and charged with domestic violence. Instructed the class required when requesting a restraining order be removed. Attended monthly staff meetings and consulted with several committees to ensure productive services where continuously available to clients and community partners.

Grant Pass Oregon

The Nest Project was created to ensure “wrap around service” (additional educational training and job opportunities available to clients in transition from one phase of life to another). As a function of my project management, several months were spent networking with local hospitals, social service providers, and state agencies to assess the need for this next step. Once the project was funded I joined RCC as an adjunct faculty member.As the instructor, developed and presented the curriculum. The curriculum developed for the project included, yet was not limited to: cognitive reconstruction, behavior modification, releasing negative patterns and creating achievable goals. Presented the materials, facilitated group work and discussion, compiled attendance logs and ensured continued collaboration with community partners, which provided an avenue for participants to travel toward life changing opportunities.
