Children's Panels are independent lay tribunals and a crucial part of the Children's Hearings system. This is Scotland's exceptional approach to dealing with children and young people who are in trouble or at risk and keeping them out of the adult prosecution services where possible.Children's Hearings are a relatively informal way of addressing all kinds of situations where a child or young person is in need of care, protection, guidance or control if he/she has committed an offence or is seen to be at risk morally, physically or mentally.Panel members are ordinary people like you and me who have chosen to do something extraordinary and make a contribution to children who need some kind of intervention or help to turn their lives around and become thoughtful, caring well rounded individuals who can make a positive contribution to their community.

Managing the business support function for Scottish Renewables and responsible for the delivery and management of a number of essential business functions, including financial management and reporting, ICT, administration of HR processes, management of office space and systems.The post has three direct reports, the Sales & Purchase Ledger administrators and one Administration Assistant and manages and develops the Business Support Team work programme. These services are essential to the proper functioning of other teams and the organisation as a whole, and central to the delivery of good customer service to our members, stakeholders and other clients.The team is usually the first point of contact for enquiries from members, potential new members and other external enquiries.Our team functions can be broken down into four main areas: Financial Management, including maintenance of sales and purchase ledgers, budget control accounting, invoicing, monthly reporting on budgeting, credit control and banking administration.HR services include supporting senior managers with recruitment, staff contracts, staff handbook and procedure manual.Managing relations with landlord, suppliers and contractors.In house facilities management including repairs & renewals, boardroom hire, catering requirements etc.Administrative support to other teams within the organisation including additional event and policy support.

On Secondment to the National Skills Academy for Power and working with EU Skills, Scottish Colleges Energy Skills Partnership & Skills Development Scotland to identify opportunities to support the development of transition training for the renewable sector in Scotland.The renewable sector have identified and predict skills gaps which will become prohibitive to the growth of renewables if we cannot meet the challenge - bringing skilled experienced staff from other industries and sectors into renewables with the aid of transition training to contextualise their knowledge. The project also aims to identify shortfalls in training capacity in renewable energy expertise in the training provider community and work with providers to address this.A number of sectors have been identified to target experienced staff to transfer into the renewables sector with construction and military personnel amongst the key industries.

Assimilating and interpreting medical information from associated health care practitioners..Making informed recommendations on whether or not a customer should remain on benefits and advising staff accordingly. Promulgating the decision and ensuring the correct notifications are forwarded to associated agencies and other interested parties.
