I was one of two employees (myself and the department head) in the Pay & Classification Division for the City. I supervised citywide payroll clerks for each department and provided on-going training. I personally processed all adjustments to City employee pay grades or job classifications. I accomplished the revision of the City’s pay plan based on classification, pay grade, and years of employment, which entailed surveying similarly sized municipalities regarding their pay schedules. I also served as the Official Records Keeper for the City and would represent the City at any hearings regarding unemployment compensation when a claim was being disputed for cause.
