I've worked in the book industry for 15 years. I recently wrapped a nine-year stint overseeing the events programs at Booksmith and The Bindery. While events director, I did numerous high profile in-conversations and interviews with authors, comedians, and journalists, and emceed a wide array of events. I also do remote graphic design and marketing for three businesses.I created, curated, hosted, and produced Shipwreck, San Francisco's only live Fanfiction event, which ran monthly from Booksmith from June 2013 through November 2018. Over 10,000 people attended over 75 live shows in several cities and Comic Cons, and the hashtag #shipwrecksf was the number one trend in San Francisco every first Thursday. Shipwreck was widely covered in the press, with the San Francisco Chronicle calling it "devilish," and calling me "smart, beautiful, and loud." Shipwreck lives on in the form of a book: Loose Lips (Grand Central, 2016). There is also podcast of all the past episodes, which can be found at shipwrecksf.simplecast.fm. I'm also a writer and editor: i was a co-founder of and an editor and reporter for Uppercasing, the Upper Haight news blog that was eventually folded into Hoodline; my writing has appeared in various online publications; and I edited an anthology of fanfiction from Shipwreck called LOOSE LIPS (Grand Central 2016). I prefer my scotch peaty, my pizza homemade, and my nails freshly polished.
