UNIC is the international trade organization representing cinema operators and their national associations. Among the tasks were the tracking and reporting of European policy developments in relevant areas, such as Copyright, Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Audio-Visual Media Service Directive (AVMSD), and the Digital Services Act (DSA); liaising with industry stakeholders and the Members of the European Parliament; supporting the organisation of events such as screenings, conferences and CineEurope; and writing the weekly news updates.

In this think tank, part of Leiden Islam Academy and under supervision of Prof. Dr. Maurits Berger, sensible topics as polarization and radicalization were discussed on a weekly basis, with the aim to organize a project that would contribute to a more inclusive society. In cooperation with ‘Stichting voor Gesprek en Dialoog’ the think tank has organised workshops Deep Democracy.

My tasks were to publish content on the main website and intranet through content management system SDL Tridion; to publish and monitor social media; to select and edit visuals; and to report on the use of websites of the Central Bank. Furthermore, I have contributed to the improvement and renewal of parts of the website.
