I am an Electrical Engineering student minoring in German Studies at North Carolina State University. I seek experiences where I can learn from and works with others who are also committed to developing cutting-edge strategies and sustainable technologies that improve quality of life and promote equity. I intend to focus my degree at the intersection of hardware and software in high-throughput systems that implement sensor and measurement technologies. My research and work experience has inspired an interest for industrial-scale automation, metrics development and optimization. I am also passionate about continuing to explore the implications that Kurt Gödel's work has for modern HPC, systems engineering, control theory and our future endeavors in computing. As a non-traditional student I offer an authentic and diversified perspective that drives my determination to grow, persevere and innovate. I continue to expand my worldview by studying the German language and cultivating an appreciation of Germanic culture and values. Currently I have achieved a level of B2 proficiency. I completed a study abroad experience this summer in Vienna. When I am not working I enjoy traveling, hiking, practicing Yoga, reading, watching movies or engaging with my more artisitic passions like photography, visual arts, music and creative writing. I am also huge fan of board games, puzzles and spatial challenges.

During the Women and Minority Summer Research Program, I worked with an established research faculty member on a short-term project. The program is designed to for students to gain experience seeking mentorship for undergraduate engineering research, developing an abstract, conducting an experiment, analyzing the data collected, interpreting the results and developing a research poster to present at the Undergraduate Summer Research Symposium. In this project I was tasked with helping to address portability and compatability concerns with running a newly innovated Computer Vision model on exisiting high-throughput agricultural sorting infrastructure. The experiment consisted of collecting computational performance data as a scaled version of the model was executed in real time. The model was implemented through a Docker-based API. This data was used to begin building a framework for establishing reliable performance metrics and to suggest future development of the project for establishing benchmarks and optimization standards.
