About Lou Herbert

I am an HR professional pushing boundaries and not afraid to do things differently. I love the challenge of improving the culture of a workplace to deliver improved results. Coaching leaders to understand all aspects of managing their managers to improve performance both measured and visible by increasing capability and engagement. I am very focussed on my own development and learning new ways of thinking and working which I have applied very successfully in my career. I love working for future focused, colleague centric, progressive business' that aren't afraid to try new things and experiment to drive improvement in both the colleague experience and the business results. In my experience colleagues want three things:▪️to be paid correctly every payday▪️to be treated fairly▪️to have equipment that works efficiently ▪️to be able to take their holidays when the want them▪️to be genuinely thankedWithout fulfilling these basic needs anything above that will fall flat - these are the things people remember when you ask for feedback. Might sound simple but it’s incredible how many workplaces don’t see the value in getting these right.I’m passionate about creating the right culture for both the business and the colleague to thrive. The last few years have been particularly tough and doing things right to retain and attract people have never been more important. I’ve learnt so much through my HR career and would really like the opportunity to utilise my knowledge and skills to make a difference.

Listed skills include Employee Relations, Human Resources, Recruiting, Performance Management, and 40 others.
