My researches focus on Generative Design and Holistic Design Optimization for products and platforms based construction.

Traditionnaly, design phase in AEC industry takes months, with very few iterations. What if we could generate and analyses thousands -or even millions -of design and construction options instead of a few? This is the aim of this R&D Project: through the automation of design and engineering we generate millions of designs and explore the whole solution space of a project, analysis every tradeoff between disciplines (Architecture, Structure, Energy, Construction, etc.) to find much better designs than before.While the team of 6 engineers that I lead is still a long way to unabling a general application of this new approach, in 2018 we demonstrated the breakthrough potential it has. On a simple building (office buiding, 15000m²), we were able to show a potential of more than 10% in construction costs reduction and 15% performances (energy consumption and operations costs) improvement compared to standard practices.

Building Lifecycle Management is the application of Product Lifecycle Management to the construction industry. However, the caracteristics of the AEC industry involves to adapt PLM standard practices.As expert in new technologies and Data Models for Construction Industry, I developped Data Models for implementing PLM in construction.

Working in Bouygues Construction's Business Modernization Project team as BIM and VDC (Virtual Design & Construction) expert.Main missions:-Contribution to the development of France's BIM Standards and International BIM Standards (such as ISO 19650)-Training of Bouygues Construction's collaborators on BIM Technologies and BIM Management practices.-Developing Virtual Design & Construction R&D
