A Mixed Methods Study on Gender Differentiated Drivers of Violent Extremism inCentral Sahel Research, FHI360/USAID. Mali, Niger, Burkina FasoOversaw the qualitative research component within the mixed methods study in BurkinaFaso, Mali and Niger: co-developped a literature review and initial hypotheses for researchstudy, Coordinated and supervised with local research partners for data collection, helpeddevelop entry and engagement protocols, design of tools, etc. Completed a series oftrainings for local research teams on qualitative research methodology including ethics,data collection, coding etc. the scope of work included the design of the training sessionsand co-facilitating the trainings. A total of 8 enumerators, 3 coders and 4 researchmanagement staff in each country were trained and supervised in the course of this research project,

Directly managed 8 months research activity on the field to determine/measure the impact ofinterventions on youth participants and their communities in Northern Morocco (24 FGDs).Co-lead design of concept note for Phase II/Maghreb-Sahel Pilot project: developped and leadtraining sessions for 3rd regional workshop; oversaw in-country procurement of goods andservices; and developed grant program.Developed grant proposals and material including training tools with CSOs and oversaw andmonitored grant activities implementation with grantees.

Provided programmatic, administrative and logistical support to the CoVE-MENA Task Order.Coordinated and supervised activities for the Maghreb-Sahel pilot, which included:substantive technical inputs to design, implementation and reporting on 9 in-kind grantactivities; primary point-of-contact with participants, vendors, USAID and HQ teams for 2regional workshops; key role to design, implement and lead sessions for 2 regional workshops;and all in-country procurement. Moderated and maintained an online Community of Practicefor workshop participants and P/CVE practitioners.

Supported the launch of the Civil Society Strengthening program, including recruitment, anddevelopment of the workplan and the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Plan. Providedtechnical support to develop tools, resources, processes, and systems necessary to ensurerapid and effective advocacy-related initiatives. Developed and drafted the communicationplan and associated materials (e.g., brochures, banners and folders), as well as plan andcoordinate events.

Supported project management, human resources management and training, programsdesign, grant proposals, activity design and supervision. Illustrative activities implementedwere: the Intercultural Video Exchange Program for 8 beneficiaries in Morocco, and theInternational Youth Day Celebration attended by over 150 guests. The Dounia Project nowserves over 20 volunteer beneficiaries in Casablanca who produced award-winning videodocumentaries on women’s rights in Morocco, and have won several otherinternational online competitions.

Provided short-term technical assistance to develop a USAID proposal focused on engagingcivil society in the public policy process in Morocco. Provided administrative, program design,partnership development, costing and recruitment support in collaboration with arepresentative from Counterpart Headquarters and assessment team in Morocco. Coordinatedmeetings with USAID Development Partners, other international donors, and over 20 CSOs todevelop coordination strategies. Conducted background research (e.g, sector trends or genderissues) and analysis, provided substantive reviews and comments to context sections andproposed activities to ensure their relevance and appropriateness for the local operatingenvironment

Supported the USAID-funded Regional Partnership on Culture and Development (RPCD)project in various activities and research projects, Established contact with, and assessed thecapacities of, local research organizations according to specific criteria to develop RPCD’sinformal network for research institutions (the Partnership Forum). Contributed to thepublication of an Annotated Bibliography Series and Technical Publication Series, LiteratureReviews, short analytical papers and memos. Helped manage events and conferences andcreate a roster of local andinternational experts for the program's databases, and performed secondary research onNatural Resources Management, Democracy and Governance, and Youth development.

Supported website management (articles, posts, maintenance of photo Base), and developedthe final media program report. Produced modules, brochures, success stories and highlightsfor ALEF/USAID media kits and website. In Supported the technical team to produce literacyfilms and AV material. Planned PR and Media management for the final programevent (e.g., media relations, brochures, kits).

Provided daily support to the communication expert in outreach, event and communicationactivities. Contributed to the production of 16 Capsules, videos ~ 6-minutes long on bestpractices and lessons learned in education. Provided on-site support to technical CNIPE teamin different regions of Morocco: Oriental, Meknes Tafilalet, Grand Casablanca, Chaouia,OuardighaSupervised the post–production of short video ‘reports’ on best practices in literacy andeducation. Coordinated the post-production and editing of 16 videos for the ALEF/USAID inpartnership with the CNIPE (Department of the Ministry of Education).
