About Ken Loucks

My passion is to change the way fats, oils, and grease (FOG) are managed by wastewater authorities. My goal is to provide assistance in developing or amending FOG regulations to ensure more FOG is captured at the source. I provide education, guidance, and document drafting assistance to accomplish this. Our objective is to establish regulations for commercial grease interceptors that emphasizes testing and certification to validate performance and then sizing and selecting them based on flow rate and grease storage capacity. We want to match grease capacities with FOG produced at FSEs to ensure reasonable and affordable maintenance frequencies that make compliance easily achievable.I work hard to provide quality education on FOG program development and device operation through an online training platform called the FOG Training Institute (https//www.fogtraininginstitute.com). As the restrictions from Covid-19 ease up, I intend to offer the IW's LIVE one-day Grease Interceptor Training Course (6-modules) at local municipalities around the country to ensure those who want the training can have access to it live and in person. Until then, please consider taking the online course and avoid delaying the education that you may need right away.
