- Controlled access to multiple construction sites to include new multi-million-dollar Embassy and other construction sites. Screened and escorted personnel within or to a construction site as appropriate in accordance with the Site Access List. - Screened and escorted all material and tools within or to the construction site. Controlled the Secure Storage Area (SSA) and the material contained within. - Denied the introduction of prohibited materials such as explosives, weapons, electronic devices, or other items as specified by the accrediting official.- Monitored and observed the construction workers as they accomplished their various construction tasks. Ensured all equipment; materials and furnishings for use in specified areas were x-rayed and examined. Assisted the Site Security Manager (SSM) with Random Selection and Random Procurement of materials required for construction and installation in, or contiguous to, controlled areas.- Inspected all persons, packages, bags, boxes, crates, tools, and vehicles, prior to entering the construction site. Produced daily logs of all related activity and events. Reported all security related incidents, in incident report format, to the SSM. Reported all anomalies and incidents of a counterintelligence nature directly to the SSM.

- Provided 8,000 hours of armed internal security to the American Embassies in Amman, Jordan, Islamabad, Pakistan Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Podgorica, Montenegro which includes monitoring cameras, and issuing badges and keys.- Wrote and issued 23 of-117 security violation reports documenting the improper storage of classified material that were discovered while conducting security inspections. Wrote 20 incident reports to improve embassy security.- Participated in 108 response drills to improve the operational readiness of the detachment in preparation for various contingencies. Operated vehicles equipped with a radio and emergency equipment.- Patrolled designated areas by vehicle or foot to check perimeter locks, fence gates, and restricted areas; patrolled installation perimeters to detect faulty fences, patrolled areas bordering the installation, trespassing violations, and attempted thefts of federal property. - Conducted and supervised subordinate personnel in the screening and detection of illegal items and contraband at installation entry points, both in vehicles and on persons entering the secured area. Searched bags, backpacks, duffle bags, cases, briefcases, trucks, and containers for illegal and prohibited items. Monitored and checked the functionality of screening devices, hand held and stationary for proper function and maximum performance.
