The Rice Bowl Fund is a not-for-profit organisation that was created to help the people of Myanmar (ex-Burma) by promoting and organising the “contribution to income generating projects that create a means for long term self-help, along with providing relief in times of devastation.”I provided advice & guidance on both business and marketing issues. This included strategy definition, market segmentation, environmental analysis, marketing planning and promotional concepts.

ABC Learning Centres is New Zealand’s largest childcare provider with 127 centres nationwide. ABC employs approximately 1500 staff and achieved record turnover of $100 million in the last financial year I was there. The organisation specialises in providing top quality care and education for children aged 0 to 5 years. The head office marketing team was lean, consisting of only the marketing assistant and myself.I was responsible for all marketing functions including, but not limited to; strategy, revenue growth, online presence, customer research, service improvement guidance, campaign management, branding and budget management.Key Achievements: I worked closely with individual centre managers on an operations and marketing basis to re-position their centres in their community so as to overcome negative word-of-mouth and improve occupancy, profitability & customer relationships. I devised the strategy and created a platform for improved internal and external communication in the form of an intranet and new website. I made marketing accountable via stringent research and ROI programmes.

Integral specialised in enterprise-level (tier one) accounts. Over 2008 and 2009 I mentored Integral’s Marketing Assistant while also creating marketing collateral such as case studies in order to support their sales team.

I was employed as an exclusive resource for the ABC Learning Centres NZ account and was responsible for all marketing functions with a heavy emphasis on customer research and advertising.

I grew our annual conference 100% year on year over 3 years. My brand portfolio tripled in scale through merger activity and I remained the sole marketing resource.
