I started in the insurance restoration industry as a carpenter's helper in 1997, continued through my college years on winter and summer breaks. Accepted to Kutztown University's graphic design program, I was also invited and made the cut for the Men's Soccer program. Had a change of heart before Junior year and transferred to University of the Arts, graduated with BFA in Film/Animation in 2002. After working in North Wildwood for the summer, decided to pursue carpentry and worked at Mellon Certified Restoration for almost 10 years. Spent an additional 3 years at Delco Fire Restoration, during that timeframe Hurricane Sandy devastated the East Coast. It was a humbling experience helping people from South to Central Jersey, most notably the damage in Tom's River, Manahawkin, Manasquan, and Mantoloking. Putting on the tool belt for over 10 years, I decided to make a career change and transitioned into an independent property claims adjuster. For the next 6 years traveled all over Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and some of Maryland. My experience handling fire, water, smoke, wind, and other perils such as hail rekindled a passion for exterior construction. In between time as an adjuster I attended the HAAG Residential Roof Certification class, and started a 3rd party inspection business which focuses on exterior storm damage assessments. Accumulating 25 years experience and for the past 10 years alone I’ve assessed anywhere from 30-50 properties a month.
