Hi, I'm Louis, an aspiring 3D general artist enjoying my journey to becoming a texture artist.On this journey, I have studied at Barnsley College (Media, Game Development) and the University of Huddersfield (Game Development (Art)), learning a variety of tools mainly:- Maya: The main modelling program I use, I have worked and learned with Maya for five years. Coming to understand and help others with features it has to offer. - Substance Painter: A software that I have enjoyed for four years. It has pushed me to learn Substance Designer and methods of engine integration. My experience is mainly in manipulating generators. However, I have worked on hand-painted projects in the past.- Unreal Engine: The main way I render my models. I have had minor roles in blueprinting and implementation. I wish to look further into shaders and VFX.(More/Weaker skills in Skill area)I have been a part of multiple non-profit team projects ranging from:- Creating a 3D game in Unreal Engine 5.2 with a team of peers - University Project- Multiple game jams across my time in university, some great, and... some haunting.- Script writing, Story Boarding a fangame - Hobby Project- Redesigning a pre-existing game's story flow with added/adjusted mechanics - Hobby ProjectEach has taught me about the variety of management and communication in a team dynamic.Being surrounded by games all my life, I cherish the unique experiences they each gave me and still harbour the notable features of them. In correlation, my peers find that I reference obscure games they have never heard of.
