At Templafy I am an engineering manager for two teams of altogether 11 engineers. This role involves, but is not limited to:- Helping my teammates develop their careers through regular one on one meetings and building a career development plan- Supporting the process of discovering and understanding the needs of our customers by working closely with the product owner, lead engineer and product designer- Performing a quarterly team check-in and communicating any insights back to the CTO and an engineering director- Adjusting the day-to-day team processes to fit the team based on Scrum/Kanban/Agile methodologies- Assisting the product owner in planning upcoming work by evaluating priorities, dependencies on other teams, estimates and team capacity- Empower the team by ensuring that domain and technical knowledge is shared, peripheral tasks are done on a rotational basis and that the team has enough external contact with stakeholders and technical support personnel- Providing technical insights to the team when necessary- Assisting with various technical tasks like POCs, code review, the occasional user story implementation and release management for a part of our systemI am also involved in the mentorship of two people outside my teams.

At Merapar I was part of a team building backend systems for Liberty Global in the television domain. In these projects I have used Java, Python, Kubernetes, Jenkins, AWS, Kibana, Grafana, Kafka, XSLT and other technologies. I've worked on APIs that perform image manipulation, backend services that transform XML into desired formats, a system for orchestrating backend processes that are executed by other services and a few other projects.

At 4C Insights I worked on a web application and later mostly back end services using mostly the .Net framework. The primary technical focus of this project was making the back end scalable using messaging systems (RabbitMQ and NServiceBus on MSMQ). In this team I also gained more experience working with the Scrum framework.

At LightSail Education I acted as a software engineer primarily working on the backend of an educational software system. In this role I learned how to use a JavaScript front end framework (AngularJS) and a web API serving JSON to build web applications as opposed to active server pages (ASP.NET). I also learned how to scale a back end using a messaging system (NServiceBus on SQL Server). In this team I learned how to work in an Agile way using the Scrum framework.

At Open Box Software I helped build web applications for a large real estate firm. The primary technologies I used were the .Net framework (ASP.NET), first using Visual Basic and later C#, HTML, JavaScript and T-SQL/SQL Server.
