Water Operations Control Dispatcher-
CurrentOperating a SCADA System within the Water Operations Control Center headquarters for the Central Arizona Project (CAP). CAP is a 336 mile, cement lined canal with 15 pumping plants, 39 control structures and 40 delivery points. Via the Control Center, signals are sent remotely to the pumping plants, control structures and delivery points (groundwater recharge projects, cities and agriculture) throughout the state to control water flows. Through the canal, we deliver Arizona's 1.5 million acre feet of yearly water allotment from the Colorado River. The canal begins at Lake Havasu and continues to Tucson supplying Maricopa, Pinal and Pima Counties in Arizona.
