Utilised Load Balancers and Kubernetes to run several docker containers to support functionality such as serving frontend applications, ssl-cert manager, client web servers. PubSub for events. Infrastructure was scripted using Pulumi (IaC product). I also built a ChatGPT plugin for creating and hosting ChatGPT generated websites.

(Google Cloud Platform, PHP, Python, Java, Hugo, VueJS)Migrated PaperCut's website from a single server to a Load Balanced AppEngine system on Google Cloud Platform. Migrated PaperCut to a different payment provider along with updates to their payment flow. Migrated PaperCut's RSS reader content to a dynamically built solution. Supported the design team, helping them to create a company wide design system using Storybook.

At TRIBE I built out infrastructure to support 60,000+ influencers via Ruby on Rails APIs. Working as a full-stack developer, I used React, Redux, Typescript, Jest on the frontend while coding RSpec tested and Dockerised Ruby on Rails APIs on the backend. Core contributions included interfacing with Facebook Marketing APIs to enable TRIBE to gain Facebook Marketing Partner status, GDPR compliant support features, introducing Content Licensing, and performing security audits on the platform.

At ConnectEducation I created ConnectApp. ConnectApp helps high school students prepare for exams by exposing them to exam-like questions throughout the year, and provides teachers with insights into how their students are doing.I managed all aspects of ConnectApp development, including user interviews, management of content production, software design and development.Over my time at Connect we went from nothing but a concept to over 100 classes and 700 students using ConnectApp within the course of 10 months.

During my 6 month contract (2x3 month contracts) I helped revamp the login and user management portal for Fairfax related websites. Alongside this work I helped to version an internal ASP.NET API to allow creation of new features, and improved the UI design / development process by moving UI design phase onto a Rails system from php.

During my time at TechPeaks startup accelerator program, I created a Rails app builder called Drystorm. Drystorm allows developers to create great looking, fully featured, well tested websites in a matter of minutes, saving days of development time, cost, and effort.

During my work at Forward Partners we started to develop marketing tools that help gain insights into marketing across various third party platforms. This work turned into a startup named Driftrock.At Driftrock, I along with one other developer created the core infrastructure for the Driftrock platform. I also took responsibility for guiding technical and business development alongside customer acquisition strategies. The project involved integration with several services such as Facebook Ads, Adwords, Google Analytics and Twitter Ads.I lead Driftrock development to a million dollar round of funding before leaving to pursue my own startup endeavours.

At Forward Partners my role was a combination of development and marketing. Day to day activities involved setting up and running ads across Facebook, Twitter, Adwords; setting up Google Analytics, Mixpanel, third party logins; creating tools to help track spend and customer acquisition data.

ThoughtWorks provides agile and lean development, enablement and consultancy services to companies such as LinkedIn, Lonely Planet, Cisco, Guardian.co.uk, Westpac (see http://www.thoughtworks.com/client-portfolio).My personal involvement includes developing software and enabling client developers at a number of companies, and using technologies ranging from .NET and SQL to Python, Scala, and Mongo.Value provided includes analysing and implementing a reimbursement process which processed over £500,000 in a short period. I was one of two developers to work on this, completing the work in a month with no previous knowledge of the Scala programming language and Mongo database which was used in development.

Course assistant for a software engineering class, where approximately 80 students worked on software for a client.Tutor for an e-commerce course, where students create websites in VBScript, HTML, CSS.Tutor for a Java programming course, where students learn about data structures, algorithms and get an introduction to software engineering.

Myself and 3 other university students worked on a Microsoft competition (Imagine Cup) designing software which can help the environment. Work involved development using Virtual Earth, ASP.NET, presentations, documenting, and communicating with various businesses and organisations. We won the New Zealand finals for the competition and competed at the world finals in Paris.
