Let’s start at the beginning, 1994…Just kidding, let me sparknote this for you. 1996 (2 years old), I want to be a doctor, namely because of the lollipop at the end of the visit. 1997, I build a lego dinosaur and my mom tells me I’ll be an engineer. 1998, basketball is my favorite sport (I only grow to be 5’10”, despite my 6'5" father). 2008, I enter a science decathlon for robotics and win 1st place by default. 2012, I graduate Fordham Preparatory School and attend the Rochester Institute of Technology for Mechanical Engineering. 2013, I leave RIT not having a clue what I want to do with my life. I go home and begin taking classes at the local community college. 2014, I leave school to work full time at a restaurant as a food runner. Fast forward to 2018, the restaurant had grown to 5 restaurants. I’d climbed the ranks to bar manager, won an award for best bar in Stamford, then at 23 yrs old ran a 5 million dollar store as the AGM, following that was promoted to GM, managing another store while being the company trainer. 2019, I left the company while on top, as I reached my ceiling and felt as if life was beckoning elsewhere. I took a short 3 month stint as the assistant director of operations at the Javits Center, coordinating large events. Afterwards I started at The NoMad, the best cocktail bar in America and #4 in the world. A dream job, or so I thought. I felt reinvigorated in the new environment and impressed my managers and peers. The promotion that should have taken 18 months, gets offered to me in 3. I grind here for the next 6 months only to have the same feelings of life calling me elsewhere bubble up again. 2020, I decide to go back to school and enlist in the US Army to pay for said school. 2023, I am ready to move onto the next chapter of my life outside of the military. My life has never been a straight road, but all the twists and turns have made me develop into a young professional with an extensive and broad background, capable of adapting to new environments and always eager to learn.
