Following a successful first run, the webinar returns for a second season, with monthly episodes beginning November 2020 till December 2021.Join our resident hosts Associate Professor David Allen, a respected infectious diseases clinician and Professor Dale Fisher from the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Group Director of Medicine at the National Health University System (NUHS) and Chair of the WHO’s Global Outbreak Alert & Response Network (GOARN) as we engage with a special guest speaker each month to bring you the latest developments and global perspectives on the public health, political, social, economic and psychological implications of the COVID-19 pandemic.Dr Louisa graduated with an MBBS from Univeristy of New South Wales, Australia and completed her senior residency training in Infectious Diseases in August 2019. She likes to say that she kicked off her specialist career with a bang, being thrown into the COVID-19 pandemic less than six month after exiting her training. Being the sole ID physician in Alexandra Hospital, she had to quickly assume the lead role of coordinating the management of COVID-19 cases. Dr Louisa also had the priveledge of having what she calls the “full COVID-19 experience”, being the clinical and community engagement lead of the mobile medical teams of 4 dormitories managed under Alexandra Hospital, as well as moving onto be part of the core medical team at the Community Care Facility run by NUHS.
