Co-lead our organizations' 11-person state campaigns team, with a focus on managing our federal-state campaigns and strategies to influence national policy debates and state-based funding initiatives and efforts to protect and strengthen anti-poverty programs. Work across CBPP to leverage our legislative, policy, and communications expertise to win more. Spent last two years overseeing our crisis-born federal safety net defense campaigns, including directing millions in field investments, overseeing consultants and field communications strategies, and leading staff to defend the Affordable Care Act, Medicaid, and SNAP. Now looking forward to multi-year state and federal strategies to go on offense on policies and programs that boost incomes for people struggling to make ends meet and help them afford the basics.

Oversee the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities' state campaign strategies to impact federal policies impacting low-income communities, including healthcare, safety net, and tax issues. Manage a dynamic team of four staff focused on field efforts for priority campaigns and work in collaboration with legislative affairs, communications and policy teams to advance strategic, multi-faceted issue campaigns. Work closely with and learn from state advocates around the country as well as national coalition partners. Manage relationships with key philanthropic stakeholders and consultants supporting our campaigns.

Work with network of 40+ state-based fiscal policy non-profits around the country to strengthen their campaigns, coalitions and advocacy strategies to advance anti-poverty solutions.

Served as lobbyist, researcher, and lead advocate on issues at the state level including fair budget and tax policy, prisoner re-entry, paid leave, and early care and education. Led a number of coalitions, including those on fair and adequate state revenue, paid sick days and prisoner re-entry.

Led bipartisan coalition that successfully pushed for lobbying reforms at the state level in North Carolina.

Coordinated events, including Latin American cultural festival, policy conference, as well as communications and supported advocacy campaigns including one to grant in-state tuition to undocumented students in North Carolina.
