After stepping down as managing director I took on a strategic role, helping to pilot the agency through change and growth. I worked with the leadership team as they expanded the horizons of the agency beyond its UK client base, forged closer, more productive links with the parent group and embraced new offerings like social media and digital. I ran the search and selection project to recruit the agency’s new managing director. This began with an audit of the existing leadership team leading to a brief based on the exact strengths and experience needed to take the agency forward. I continued to foster relationships at a senior client level, as well as working to maintain the agency’s reputation across the industry.

I co-founded Woolley Pau with Dean Woolley when we were both still in our twenties. We started with little more than a vision: that healthcare brands deserve exactly the same persuasive creativity other brands enjoy. By the time we sold the agency to the Gyro group 14 years later we had built Woolley Pau into a major player with a reputation in the UK as the agency that changed the creative landscape for healthcare brands. We also set out to run a company people would positively enjoy working at. So, along with all the awards, I’m particularly proud of the happy spirit we created at Woolley Pau and of how fiercely loyal our people have always been.
