- Provide leadership; responsible for the management of offenders subject to court orders and parole under the supervision of Community Corrections- Contribute to the development, evaluation and the implementation of contemporary Community Corrections policies and programs aligned with departmental and government objectives- Identify and minimise risk to the Department and the community by ensuring compliance with legislative requirements including supervision standards and developing strategies to minimise risk- Lead and manage regional teams and ensure the human, financial and physical resources of the area are managed effectively and efficiently to achieve departmental and government objectives- Prepare timely and accurate high-level reports, Ministerial, and recommendations on Corrections issues to the Executive, internal and external stakeholders, Courts and the Parole Board- Develop and implement best practice strategies, directions and objectives for enhancing Community Corrections services and monitor outcomes against performance targets- Provide strategic, operational advice and input on Community Corrections policies, practices & programs to the Executive Management Group- Build collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, anticipate and effectively address emerging departmental issues and service needs- Lead a multi-disciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes, encourage the team to meet the challenges of demanding work roles; Community Corrections Staff are an amazing and major resource. It is vital to make staff aware of their importance and the genuine need the Department has for their continued success in their role- Participate with and promote partnerships to indigenous organisations and remote communities in an attempt to provide the best reintegration opportunities for offenders to enhance community safety- Dual management of both the Alice Springs & Tennant Creek Community Corrections offices when required

Oversaw and managed complex major projects, to achieve strategic objectives.Provided both specialist information and high level strategic and policy advice to the Minister, Chief Executive Officer, Commissioner, Director and key stakeholders on a wide range of justice and community corrections issues and initiatives.Represented the Department at a senior executive level in relevant forums and strengthened relationships with stakeholders from the community, non-Government and Government to ensure a high level of understanding and active support for community corrections initiatives.Critical incident and crisis management after major events.
