Strategic communications and events leadership, for maximum potential impact e.g.: - Managing and empowering an effective multi-channel digital content team.- Championing a holistic, integrated and inclusive approach to communications and events across the nations, faculties and units of the university.- Leading on the development and management of events for public and high-profile audiences, such as television series launches, degree ceremonies, and parliamentary exhibitions. - Translating academic research findings into easy-to-understand, attention-grabbing, relatable content for multiple outputs. Including as Editor of e-newsletters with above-average open and link-click rates, and as the team’s main ghost writer of columns for national newspapers.- Acting as ambassador for the team with key internal and external stakeholders, including in the fields of knowledge exchange, research and cultural engagement.Secondments have included: - Project Manager for a Computer Provision Scheme; with responsibility for securing and managing £1.5m funding and setting-up scheme to provide computing equipment to students on low incomes. - Faculty Manager for Social Sciences; involving monitoring and responding to plagiarism alerts, marking delays, and student complaints, plus allocating tutors to students across Scotland. - Project Manager for Back on Course Scotland; developing and implementing a service to offer information, advice and guidance to students from all universities in Scotland.
