My name is Louise Mitchell and I am from Columbus, Ohio. I am a current senior at Miami University in the Farmer School of Business studying Human Capital Management and Leadership. I would be a great asset as an employee for any company in the business world. My interest in business developed in high school by taking many business courses and being a host at a restaurant for three years. As a host, I worked at the Hudson 29 Restaurant in Upper Arlington. I learned many of my skills as a host such as guest services, scheduling, to-go’s and overseeing the checks at the end of a shift. I also worked at Abercrombie as a sales floor manager and as a front of house associate at the fridge and pantry restaurant my first year of college. The summer going into my junior year, I was an intern at Cameron Mitchell Restaurants where I had the privilege of contributing to the successful launches of two new restaurants during the summer of 2023. This role involved active participation in the hiring process for the new teams and collaboration with regional managers on restaurant assessments and operational follow-ups. This past summer I was on the opening team of a fine dining restaurant in Columbus as a server which further enhanced my professionalism and communication skills. In addition, I am an active member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and club field hockey team here at Miami University.
