I approve the on-boarding of new Hedge Fund (HF) and Fund Linked Product (FLP) clients and monitor a portfolio of both clients from a credit risk perspective on an on-going basis to ensure CS are still comfortable trading with them and lending cash to them on a secured basis. My duties include:- Conducting due diligence meetings and calls with counterparties for initial on boarding and annual review including on-site meetings in London, Dublin, Paris and Geneva.- Approve loan… Show more I approve the on-boarding of new Hedge Fund (HF) and Fund Linked Product (FLP) clients and monitor a portfolio of both clients from a credit risk perspective on an on-going basis to ensure CS are still comfortable trading with them and lending cash to them on a secured basis. My duties include:- Conducting due diligence meetings and calls with counterparties for initial on boarding and annual review including on-site meetings in London, Dublin, Paris and Geneva.- Approve loan facilities, renews and amendments to upsize/downsize loan facilities for FLP clients- Liaise with on boarding, client services and prime serves risk teams to on board new investments managers/funds. Work with prime services on failed margin payments and work with collateral management on margin disputes. - Assign a credit rating to each counterparty, write an initial credit analysis report and set credit lines to which traders must adhere. Credit limits reflect how much unsecured exposure CRM is willing to accept for each counterparty. Reviews to be completed annually following a meeting or call with the client. - Analyse scenario exposure of each counterparty and ensure it is within CRM policy guidelines or if higher provide appropriate comments to senior management the drivers and why I am comfortable - Provide trade approvals or declines and calculate initial margin for CDS, VAR swap, IRS etc. depending on my credit appetite for each counterparty- Negotiate credit terms within legal agreements (ISDA, GMRA, LDA and PBA) to ensure CS are adequately protected from client default and have the ability to request more margin if necessary.
