'Live today like its your last' something I have always lived by. Once I set my mind on something I make it my number one priority to accomplish that goal. This is also why I have a wide variety of different job roles on my CV. Firstly I went straight from school into the beauty industry where I landed my first job at Brooklands Hotel Spa, this taught me a lot and gave me my first taste of customer service. I had a goal to work my way up and put my own stamp on this spa and that is exactly what I did, within 3 years I became Spa Supervisor and exceptional customer service skills came with that. I then set my mind on travel, I was 21 and decided there was so much of this world to see and experience that is when working on cruise ships came in, I worked 8 months for Steiner The On Board Spa. I got to travel around the US, Canada, Caribbean and even Europe. Working on board cruise ships is not easy, its very long hours, high targets, fast pasted but a great experience. I've always wanted to help people and I set a goal when I was young that before i was 25 i'd have lived and worked in another country doing something that was completely out of my comfort zone. I moved to Thailand and became an ESL Teacher where I lived in a rural village in the South East of Thailand. Coming from a first world country it opens your mind up to so many different experiences and really changes the way you see the world. I came home with skills that I never thought I needed including, public speaking skills, patience, to be able to think on the spot and cope under intense pressure. After nearly 2 years of spending my life devoted to my students I set my mind to starting a career in sales as it is always something I have loved and been interested in. This is when i found my job with Park West Gallery as an Art Sales Associate working on board cruise ships. After the intense sales training combined with my customer service skills I excelled at my job and loved it.
