Contract Manager - Surrey County Council
Responsible for the implementation and delivery of our new Master Vendor Temporary Resourcing Contract for Surrey County Council. With only a 7 week implementation timescale, I was able to successfully support a new team of 10 to go live with the account, bringing on board 550 incumbent workers and over 100 panel vendor suppliers. Supporting the Council with fulfilment of all temporary roles across a wide spectrum including Qualified/ Unqualified Social Care roles and Interim positions, we were able to deliver cost savings to the client in excess of £900k in year one. We also regularly exceeded a 99% fulfilment rate - filling over 12,000 temporary positions per annum (incorporating 10s of thousands of shifts), delivering over 500,000 temporary working hours and carrying out over 300 panel vendor supplier audits - performance managing panel vendor suppliers where necessary thereby supporting our joint client objectives of cost savings, quality and safeguarding.I was responsible for ensuring our client was happy with our service levels, budgets were overachieved through effective primary fulfilment and candidate attraction and that all individual and team SLA’s were met through effective team management - supporting the team by providing on-going training and coaching. My team also provided the payroll function for both primary fill candidates and panel vendor agencies, and also undertook invoice processing for third party suppliers. In addition to having our Contract extended by the client after year 1, with a subsequent 3 year award we were nominated for UK Contract of the Year by the Manpower board.

As Account Manager I was responsible for managing and developing the Royal Mail Account for HWDC in Langley, the flagship site for Royal Mail and only International Royal Mail Site in the UK.Having been responsible for managing the account since its inception, and taking the site to sole supply status, my role involved managing all client relationships for the site, client management of the Central Human Resources Management Team and management of the Security Vetting and Compliancy teams.I was responsible for the training, performance management and career development of between three and 22 consultants who looked after the day to day supply and compliancy of warehouse and sorting staff with numbers out varying between 60 and 1100 (including payroll functions and MI reporting).I project managed our peak Christmas Campaign which involved creating and managing all candidate attraction and regeneration campaigns; setting up a large temporary recruitment centre capable of processing up to 2000 temporary staff in a three month period. As a DfT approved qualified Aviation Security Manager Level 3 (and Level 4) holder, I delivered Aviation Level 4 training and invigilation of test papers for modules 1,2,3,4,6 and 11 to all candidates under strict control conditions implemented by the DfT.I supported the team with the management of shift scheduling for all our temporary mail sorting and warehouse staff across three locations on a 24 hour per day 7 day per week basis for a 5 week period in December/January. All temporary staff were fully inducted, trained to aviation level 4 standard, criminal record checked and 5 year referenced prior to placement. Once on site, daily fulfilment regularly exceeded 99.5%. My greatest achievement was being nominated for and subsequently winning the Manpower Industry Star Award 2008 for outstanding individual performance within commercial staffing.

As Business manager of the Slough Branch I was responsible for recruiting, training and developing my team of 3, overachieving against financial targets for both permanent and temporary business by ensuring the effective fulfilment of agreed activity targets.
