As Media & Brand Lead at Kyma Media I was responsible for the content strategy and brand development of more than 20 social media communities with particular focus on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. I managed and led a team of content creators and community managers, with our portfolio boasting some of the best engagement rates in the sports and gaming spaces throughout 2020. Roles included:• Predicting, identifying, and capitalising on social media trends & opportunities.• Managing and optimising content output to maximise inventory revenue generation.• Developing and owning the media portfolio and brand development strategy.• Supporting in strategy & delivery of branded social campaigns across owned media portfolio.

I was promoted to the role of Brand Manager at Social Chain Media in July 2019, with responsibilities including:• Setting the direction and tone for the editorial and commercial team.• Planning editorial and commercial campaigns against key moments within the football calendar.• Developing new and existing partnerships.• Working with the team on multiple new content strands and new platforms/media to explore, such as TikTok.

In May 2014, I started my own website focusing on Major League Soccer from a British perspective. The website was set-up through Wordpress and as editor, I have been in full control of the design and layout. To date, I have written over 1,100 articles and sub-edited 700 more before publishing, to ensure quality. I have experience in leading an editorial team of writers, photographers and graphic designers of varying ages.

As part of the digital media team working on Fremantle Media's digital football channels, I was responsible for researching and editing content and worked as part of a core social media team for The Football Republic. I originally worked as a website editor across the company's seven football websites, but then moved on to creating engaging and shareable social media content for TFR on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. I was part of the team that won Video Project of the Year at the 2017 British Media Awards.

Researched and wrote betting previews on MLS, the Premier League, Champions League and Europa League for Betway. The role saw me write previews to a deadline before uploading to a CMS system in which I added images, links and ensured the article was primed for SEO.

Worked as a production assistant on Sports Mole during my final year at university, ensuring all media across the website was impeccable.

As sub-editor of sport for The University Paper in Kent, I was responsible for planning and distributing articles to a team of sports journalists, before sub-editing work to ensure quality.

I contributed to HITC Sports on a full-time basis for four months in the summer of 2014, writing approximately 100 articles on Football and American football each month. This included covering the World Cup, transfer window and start of both the Premier League and NFL seasons.

Worked on the London Olympic Games as a media runner. This role made me responsible for several key components to ensuring that the event ran as it were meant to. This was an intense eight-week period in which I worked seven days a week, though the experience was extremely rewarding and enjoyable.
