In 2020, Louise Bibby made history as Australia’s first Advanced Sports Osteopath, awarded by Osteopathy Australia in recognition of her commitment to advancing professional development in sports osteopathy.Louise was named Osteopath of the Year (2024) at the Australian Allied Health Industry Awards, highlighting her significant contributions to the profession. Previously, she was a finalist in the categories of Osteopath of the Year (2021) and Rural & Remote Excellence (2021 & 2022).As the Director of Central Mallee Health, Louise leads operations across Swan Hill, Kerang, Sea Lake, Birchip, and outreach locations. Through her Outreach Osteo Program, she ensures essential allied health services reach remote communities across 40,000 square kilometres, offering employment pathways for graduate osteopaths.Louise is the Founder and Director of Osteo Sports Network (OSN), Australia’s only sports network for osteopaths. OSN supports the development of skills, knowledge, and confidence required to work with athletes at all levels and enhances the representation of osteopaths in Australian sport through professional development, mentorship, and hands-on training opportunities.In her role as Vice Chair of Sports Medicine Australia’s Victorian State Council, Louise contributes to event coordination, sports trainer accreditation, and fostering collaboration across the sports medicine industry. A proactive member of Osteopathy Australia, Louise is known for leadership, innovation, and mentoring, actively shaping the next generation of osteopaths.With 15 years of experience, Louise specialises in ACL rehabilitation, lower limb injury prevention, running analysis, tendon injury recovery, and injury management consulting. Her expertise in manual therapy and gym-based strength training ensures effective rehabilitation and a smooth return to peak performance for athletes.Louise is also a player development coach for the Western Bulldogs VFLW team, focusing on player growth, skill acquisition, and return-to-play strategies. In addition to her clinical and coaching work, she manages Central Mallee Fitness, a 24/7 fitness centre that supports health and fitness initiatives in rural Victoria.A leader in rural practice, sport, connection, and culture, Louise’s passion lies in influencing, collaborating, and building strong networks across the allied health and sports medicine sectors, fostering meaningful partnerships and community impact.
