As an art historian, educator, arts manager, and strategic partnerships and business development professional, my career has spanned business and the arts. Before joining The Johnston Collection, I taught in the Master of Art Curatorship and Master of Arts and Cultural Management programs at the University of Melbourne. I have experience in arts sector governance, art curatorship, and exhibitions, coupled with a track-record of academic publishing and research excellence. My research interests focus on the collection and display of 18thC material culture, collecting and exhibiting prints, the English Country House, and juxtapositions of business and the arts. I have also held senior professional positions in executive education and business development at the Melbourne Business School, where my responsibilities included stakeholder management, new business development and leadership. Other corporate roles have focused on sales management and human resource leadership, encompassing learning and development, human capital management and recruitment in Australia and New Zealand. With expertise in the education, financial services and retail industries, I have provided consulting advice in sectors including IT&T and financial services. I am a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Since 2016, I have served as a Trustee for the Colin Holden Charitable Trust which works in partnership with cultural institutions to support exhibitions, scholarship, and publishing. I have post-graduate qualifications in art history, business, art curatorship, and arts management, and my doctorate in art history (University of Melbourne) focused on print collecting and display in England in the eighteenth century.
