After three months, I joined the Public Practice team where I began dealing with tax candidates up to a Manager level. I recruited across all areas of tax including International Tax, Corporate Tax, Private Client Tax, Indirect Tax, Human Capital, Transfer Pricing, R&D Tax etc. After six months a senior colleague (who at the time dealt with Director/Partner level appointments) decided to relinquish the taxation part of her role and I was then given the full portfolio up to Partner level. I was promoted to Senior Consultant after being with the company for 12 months and prior to leaving Hays Taxation was well ahead of target for promotion to Business Manager at the end of 2005. I was headhunted from this role by my next employer to join Longman Tax Recruitment.
