After two decades in the media & ad tech industry, burnout set in, exacerbated by the challenges of the COVID era. Seeking a change from the high-tech world, I embraced a simpler lifestyle, swapping notifications for daily mantras and vinyl records.With unwavering support from loved ones, especially my husband Paul, I embarked on a journey to reignite my professional passion. Enter the Atlanta Ballet—a childhood passion revisited. Despite my dream of becoming a ballerina fading during my teenage years, life brought me back to ballet.Amidst the chaos of the 2020s, I found solace and joy in adult dance classes at Atlanta Ballet’s Centre for Dance Education. Within a year, I seized the chance to further immerse myself by joining the boutiques. It was perfect timing, as the organization was in need of someone to manage and enhance its retail operations.(Fun Fact: The Centre for Dance is fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Dance and is one of the largest dance education programs in the United States) In this role, I merge physical well-being, creativity, and business acumen into a harmonious endeavor. While it may not be the typical business prestige of a CMO title, the fulfillment it brings makes each morning a joy, free from professional stagnation.Just as the Atlanta Ballet is my perfect match, I hope my journey inspires others to find their own ideal blend.
