From the heart of downtown Toronto, Inkbox has been proudly producing semi-permanent tattoos and accessories since 2015. With over ten thousand artist-created designs, our Freehand Tattoo Marker and Custom Platform, millions of people from 190 countries have gotten inked with our new-fashioned accessories that last 1-2 weeks. Inkbox was acquired by Societe BIC in early 2022.

Reporting simultaneously to the President of GSW (NY and PA offices), President, inVentiv Communications Canada and CFO inVentiv Communications, accountable for traditional financial processes, controls, budgeting and forecasting as well as staffing plans, IT, facilities/office services and client legal matters.• Led key client pricing renegotiation necessitated by significant business expansion. This involved analyzing and isolating the key functional rates that drive profitability. Secured increased rates in highly competitive market improving profit margins while growing top line billings. • Designed and sold an innovative rebate mechanism providing larger client rebates contingent on engagement longevity and business growth. Replaced traditional mechanism singularly centered on current year price reductions.• Supported pitch efforts and subsequent new brand commissions generating over $15 million in annual fees. Provided pricing analyses, reviewed and negotiated contract terms, analyzed staffing requirements and hiring justifications. Facilitated subsequent hiring approvals as NY staff increased from ~65 FTE’s to over 100 FTE in an eight month period.• Streamlined financial forecasting and staff planning processes during a period of rapid growth without degrading forecast accuracy and thereby enabling a renewed focus on billable client work.

Dual reporting relationship to the President, inVentiv Communications Canada and the CFO, inVentiv Communications accountable for traditional financial processes, controls, budgeting and forecasting as well as staffing plans, payroll, IT, legal matters and office administration. • Oversaw the financial process evolution required due to the transition from a privately held firm to an integrated division of a publically traded global corporation including internal and external audit reviews. Ensured SOX compliance, with particular focus on revenue recognition process and documentation. • Managed the standardization of the operating system and related business processes improving efficiencies and reducing local operating costs by over $500K annually.
