As the leading accredited ‘Artist Way’ facilitators in Canada, I started teaching the 12-week Artist’s Way program since 2008. Coaching and courses are based on “The Artist’s Way, A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity,” a book by Julia Cameron translated in 34 languages, over two million copies sold.The Artist Way program is intended for all who want to honestly learn something about themselves and others, and transform their current situation with creativity and compassion. It is not about teaching artistic techniques but rather is much closer to a step-by-step personal development course. Rooted in state-of-the-art concepts on creativity theory, behaviour and group dynamics, this process is quite modern, yet can seem timeless as it blends methods of personal reflection that are thousands of years old with 21st-century behavioural science.This attracts an eclectic mix of participants, many who wish they were more creative - or richer, healthier, happier. Workshop members typically include business professionals, health care providers, executives, educators as well as accomplished and amateur artists from every medium. Produced 14 acrylic 30"x 30" paintings and 6 coCreated acrylic 24"x 24" painting while in public spaces at the RGN building, which links the uOttawa medical faculty and research facility with the General Hospital and Children's Hospital (CHEO). The coCreated paintings were made with passers-by, volunteers, researchers, students and patients passing through the atrium.This was part of the Humanities in Medicine program to promote the health benefits of self-expression through the arts. Louise also introduced easy tools to work with, such as mandala colouring, and the Arts Health Network in Ottawa, which she co-founded in 2012, as part of the Arts Health Network Canada.

Incorporated in 1995, coCreations provided professional and bilingual design in Canada’s National Capital Region. coCreations has an award-winning record based on a collaborative process and personal attention to every project. LIGHTING ARCHITECTURE INSIDE & OUTLouise Lalande implemented commercial and private lighting projects that included the interiors and exteriors of restaurants, hospitals, major universities, museums, and banks. For example, she created and implemented the Carleton University lighting master plan over a decade. Her last project was 'Maman', Louise Bourgeois' grand spider sculpture that sits on the National Gallery of Art plaza.She collaborated with client teams, architects, engineers, suppliers and other design team members to light space with imagination considering aesthetics, function, ergonomics, technology, schedules, maintenance, and economics, while respecting the team vision. Louise's involvement in architectural lighting now focuses on idea generation and brainstorming as well as Design Thinking facilitation.The creative process she used in lighting design projects was a perfect foundation for her training and facilitation services as it integrates both aesthetic (right brain) and technical (left brain) integration as well as the very practive of Design Thinking.
