Currently teaching Junior Infants.Major specialism in college: Biology and Science Education. This allows me to play a key role in preparing a science policy, plan science week, manage resources and collaborate with other teachers while sharing expertise on the latest teaching strategies and resources available. I am extremely passionate about this subject and hope to be able to instill this passion in students and colleagues. My minor specialism in college: 'Learning in the 21st Century'. I have a huge passion for digital technology and it's effective use in teaching, learning, and assessment. With the introduction of the Digital Strategy for Schools in 2015, I look forward to getting the opportunity of putting my skills and knowledge to good use in the school community.Research: 'Using Informal Interactions Between Children and People in the Local and Wider Community to Engage Students in Geography Education'.I carried out an action research project in Geography education, focusing on how informal interactions between children and people in their local and wider community engage students in Geography education.
