An internationally recognised leader in digital health and health informatics, I’m on a mission to fix healthcare. A transformational leader, I am driven by driving change and delivering outcomes in the health sector. Improving health outcomes through digital and data became my obsession after witnessing the inefficiencies and unsafe practices that result from our reliance on a paper-based healthcare system. I'm an evangelist for the transformation of healthcare through technology and information, and for building digital health capability across the system. An innovator and a change agent who doesn’t sit still and whose passion and enthusiasm for health informatics is shaping a new future for Australian healthcare. I have 20 years of experience in, and applied passion for, the digital enablement of healthcare, and leading people and organisations. With a background as an occupational therapist, I have a PhD in technology acceptance among health professionals, am a graduate of Stanford’s Executive Leadership Program, a Certified Health Informatician, a Salzburg Global Seminar Fellow and a Fellow of both the Australasian Institute of Digital Health and the International Academy for Health Sciences Informatics. An engaging, personable and knowledgeable speaker, I present at national and international events on themes of the changing business models of healthcare, leadership, digital innovation, health informatics, and the future of healthcare. I have delivered over 150 conference presentations and have written for academic and industry publications and textbooks.
