Hello, I’m Louise, a coach, trainer, and facilitator working to transform the lives of people who grasp that who you are is as important as what you do, and who seek deeper connection with others so that they can have more impact in the world. My work has a particular emphasis on character and reconnecting the mind with the heart through our thoughts, feelings, choices, and actions. As an experienced executive coach and leadership development professional I am known for creating insightful and engaging character and leadership development experiences. Since founding UQ Coaching, I have created several pioneering models including The Leadership Story and the UQ Model that I use alongside a coaching approach in all work. I am also excited to be working on Finding Fiddich, a set of resources to support the development of character and leadership from an early age. Every person has both talent and potential. In my work I invite you to recognise and realise that potential. I believe leadership is a mode of being and not simply a title or role which means that anyone can benefit from UQ Coaching, whether at school, at home, or in the workplace. The heart of effective leadership is the ability to build relationships, and good relationships start with you. To be a successful leader you must be able to connect with others. To do this well you must first know who you are as a person, not just as a function within a workplace hierarchy. Effective leadership of self and others, whether as a professional, partner, or parent, all starts with self-awareness and understanding. Intelligence in its truest form simply means to understand. UQ Coaching is about much more than traditional IQ and what you know, it’s about who you are.
